2. Do I have to attend a selective high school to enrol in JE Education?
Our students are mostly from selective high schools. We understand how frustrating and challenging it is if you are not in a selective high school. You are welcome to come and to talk to us.
3. Do I need to do the Entrance Test to enrol in JE Education?
Generally speaking, the vacancies in our school for Year 6 and Year 7
students are a bit tight. You may be
placed on our waiting list. If you are offered a place, you may or may not need to
do an
Entrance Test to determine your position.
If you are in Year 8 to Year 12, an Entrance Test is required to enrol in our
school.
4. How much is the Entrance Test fee?
$50.00. An appointment will need to be arranged to do the test.
5. How to find the New enrolment form (for new students) and database entry form (for existing students)?
6. What is Credit and Refund Policy?
Generally there is no credit and no refunds. Please consider this before
paying the tuition fee.

4. When the main entrance is locked, how do I get into the classroom?
1. Press the door keypad in the order as below:

is the first one on the left.

6. How do I leave the classroom after class?
We recommend students take the fire exit door to leave the building. This allows
free movement of people to avoid crowding.

About communication:
1. How to join Group Wechat?
- Download Wechat in app store.
- Sign up by using your phone number.
- Scan the QR code on the Pull Up Banner.
- Wait for us to move you into the related Group Wechat.
2. How to ask homework questions after class?
You can use Wechat to communicate with us by taking a picture on the question and send it through Private Wechat or Group Wechat.
3. How to check my score each week after class?
It will be posted as a picture in Wechat Group right after the lesson.
4. Can I change classes?
Please call and wechat Mr Hu to check if it is available.
5. What if my parents want to make enquiries about my learning and when is the best time to enter your school?
Please come during the lesson time, preferably Monday to Saturday.
6. What if I lose the homework?
Please wechat us and we will find the solution together. Generally, a hard copy can be purchased for $10 each at the office.
7. What if I am sick, how can I get my homework?
Please wechat us or collect it after the next lesson in the office.
8. What if I am sick during class time?
Please inform us and we will call your parents immediately.
9. Can I ask any questions in wechat?
We will only help you for the questions from our booklet. Other questions will not be answered.
About payment:
1. When will I receive the payment slip?
Each term in Week 6, our teacher will hand out the notice to you.
On website, the payment will also be upgraded.
2. How do I pay for the tuition fee?
- By cash.
- By Eftpos.
- By Phone(requires credit card details through the phone).
3. How to pay the school fee by using the envelope?
Please cut out the envelope from the correct money envelope template and make the envelope. Then put the correct money inside and let your child bring the envelope to the office before the class starts.
Please also include the database entry form above inside the money envelope next term.
4. Is the tuition fee refundable?
Generally, no. Please think carefully before pay the tuition fee.
Please check credit and refund policy at the back of the receipt.
5. What if I pay the tuition fee after the early bird period?
You will not get the early bird discount.
6. Can I get a discount for the tuition fee?
Early bird discount.
Term test discount if you pay 10 (lessons) + 1 (term test) – available to the
Year 6 students from 2021 and will be available to the Year 7 students in term 3 in
2021.
About equipment:
1. What should I bring to your classroom?
- Two A4 notebooks.
- Stationery.
- A scientific calculator (from Year 7 group).
- Homework.
2. What if I forget to bring my calculator or notebook?
You will need to borrow a calculator from one of your classmates.
3. What if I forget to bring a notebook?
A4 booklet is sold at $1 at the office.
About homework each week:
1. What happens with homework and the answers?
You will need to finish all the homework.
You will need to use the answer sheet to mark each question by using a red pen
before handing it in the following week.
2. What if I didn’t bring the homework to the classroom?
You will lose 10 marks during the class for not handing homework in on time.
3. How many extra marks will I get from my homework?
You will get a maximum 5 extra marks:
4. Why do I lose marks from my homework?
You did not finish homework.
You did not show working out.
Your handwriting was too messy/illegible.
5. How can I ensure I will receive my marked feedback from previous homework exercises?
You can ask for the teacher to return your homework after the class or wait for the teacher to hand it back to you the following week. Make sure you label your homework with your full name each time you submit your work to avoid any delays.
6. Do I need to do the homework if I didn’t attend the previous lesson?
Yes.

About term test and jumping the grade:

2. If I am going on vacation, can I not take the test during the holiday?
No. You need to pay for 11 (lessons) tuition fee. You can do the term test during our business hour by appointment.
3. Can you join to a higher grade?
Yes.

General questions about the HSC course:
1. Will there be any lessons during the school holidays?
Only for Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2 students, lessons may take place during the school holidays. For more details, please check with your teacher.
2. Do I have to do an Advanced Maths course?
Yes. All the basic knowledge that you need to study the Extension 1 course are based on the Advanced Maths course.
3. Do I have to take HSC Advanced Maths if I want to do HSC Extension 2?
No. If you are going to do HSC Extension 2, then all you need to do is HSC Extension 1. That means you do not need to do HSC Advanced Maths in Year 12.
4. What textbook should I use to help me improve my learning?
Cambridge textbooks from Year 7 to Year 12.
About Advanced Maths course:
1. Do I have to take the Entrance Test to enter Advanced Maths course?
Not really. You can just follow us by finishing the junior course until Year 9, Term 4. When you reach Year 10, you will automatically enter the Advanced Maths course.
2. When does the Advanced Maths course start and end?
It starts in Year 10, Term 1 and ends in Year 11, Term 3.
3. Do I have to take Extension 1 Maths course with Advanced Maths course at the same time in Year 10, Term 4?
Yes, if you want to do HSC Extension 1 in Year 12.
About Extension 1 Maths course:
1. When does Extension 1 Maths course start and end?
It starts in Year 10, Term 4 and ends in Year 12, Term 3.
2. When will the Extension 1 course lesson contents end?
Two terms before the HSC, which is usually Year 12 in Term 2.

Yes. Right after the Extension 1 course lesson contents are fully covered.

You should do Advanced Maths course starting from Year 9, Term 1.
